Rodman Comics has the motto "bringing the superhero era to Ankeny," which it does by offering a wide range of comics, books and toys, including the popular Magic: The Gathering card sets and superhero action figures. Wednesday is new comics day. Visitors are always welcome to stop in and talk shop with the enthusiastic staff.
Faith Baptist Bible College is a higher institution of theological learning originally founded as the non-denominational Omaha Bible Institute in 1921. After becoming approved by the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches the school expanded significantly and moved to Ankeny in 1967. FBBC offers ministry training, Christian-theological studies and other higher-education courses as well as working closely with area Baptist congregations and sponsoring student ministries.
Textbook Outlet is a book store. Located across the street from the Des Moines area community college, this store is popular with students looking to buy and sell new and used textbooks for a fair price. The staff here says that it is committed to honesty and fair dealing, setting themselves apart from the chain book stores.
