The Baseball Skills Academy provides baseball and softball instruction to all age groups in Shrewbury. Training is offered in pitching, hitting and catching. It also offers a player development program and is home to the New England Storm AAU Baseball Club and the training site for the Central Mass Wolfpack.
The Edge Sports Center of Bedford is a recreational facility for sports teams of every age. There is an ice rink inside which is the home of a triple A hockey team called the East Coast Wizards and also has open ice skating times for amateur skaters and the public. The local high school hockey teams also play here. In addition, there is an indoor turf which houses the youth soccer, lacrosse, baseball and football teams. This location hosts private birthday parties and other special events. There is an open gym available to adults daily. Equipment rentals and physical therapy are also provided here. Edge is open daily.
Sluggers Academy is an athletic training and instruction facility that has more than 20,000 square feet of space for training and includes nine 65x15 foot tunnels, as well as a clubhouse room with a DVD lounge and tables for meetings and other functions. Some services include private instruction work, clinics, team training, tryouts as well as leagues and parties.
