Kettler Capitals Iceplex is located above the Ballston Common Mall parking garage and is home to Washington, D.C.'s NHL team, the Washington Capitals. Kettler is complete with two NHL-sized indoor ice rinks, a full-service pro shop, locker rooms, a snack bar and plenty of space to hang out. With public skate times every day and a variety of classes offered, anyone can enjoy this state-of-the-art facility. In addition to the facilities open to the public, Kettler also has a 20,000 square-foot training facility for the Capitals. Capitals practices at Kettler are open to the public and free of charge.
Located in Village Center at Sully Station, Mountain Kim is recognized as the first Tae Kwon Do school in the metropolitan area. Mountain Kim offers Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Hapkido, Gumbo-Sword and Kickboxing. After school programs are available for children three years old and up.
Fredericksburg Field House is an indoor athletic facility with artificial turf. The 75,000-square-foot building offers league play for soccer, flag football, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, dodgeball, quickball, among other sports.
