Established in 1980, the Progress Center Incorporated serves more than 100 children, families and adults with disabilities. The center funds its services through contracts with the state of Maine Department of Health and Human Services and annual fund raising events. Its children services help to develop social, behavioral and independent living skills in children and their families. The Progress Center Incorporated provides training in activities of daily living skills, such as personal hygiene, self-care, household chores and meal preparation. The center s community case management program develops and implements individualized support plans for persons with mental disabilities. It additionally offers day services program that includes personal care, independent living skills and senior enrichment activities. Located in Norway, Maine, the Progress Center also provides shared living, personal support and residential services programs.
