The Pierce County AIDS Foundation offers HIV prevention programming services. Established in 1991, the foundation provides case management and tenant-based rental assistance solutions. It offers chemical dependency assessment and referral, counseling and support services. The Pierce County AIDS Foundation provides mental health counseling support services, as well as transportation vouchers. The foundation offers financial support for emergencies, such as utility shutoff and medications. It supports the Sisters Informing Sisters About Topics on AIDS program. The Pierce County AIDS Foundation operates Oasis, a support center, for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youths between the ages of 14 and 24. In addition, its resource center provides safer sex materials, such as condoms and dental dams.
