Established by an act of Congress, Oak Hill Cemetery has been the final resting place for Georgetown and D.C. residents since 1849. Centuries-old buildings, such as the Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel (a National Park Service historic landmark) dot the property, along with a number of well-maintained walking paths. The cemetery is closedSaturdays and national holidays.
