Aging and Adult Services of North Idaho, one of six Area Agencies on Aging in Idaho, provides community and support programs for senior citizens residing in the Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone counties. Its senior center program provides group and home delivered meals, transportation, social services, educational programs and health screening. It offers an adult protection program that investigates reports of abuse, neglect and exploitation of senior citizens and provides advice, counseling and representation in noncriminal matters. It provides assistance in housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, shopping and laundry and its case management program assists senior citizens and disabled adults in obtaining services required for a healthy and safe living. It also has an ombudsman program that provides education, information and referrals regarding rights, benefits and entitlements to individuals families and the community. It is located in Coeur dAlene, Idaho.
