Founded in 1957, Calvary Lutheran Church has grown from 34 families to about 1,000 members. It remains in its original site near Calhoun and Gebhardt roads, although its land has expanded and a major addition was built in 1996. Calvary's Saturday evening and early Sunday services are more traditional with pipe organ hymns, while the later Sunday service is more contemporary including rock and bluegrass music. In summer the 10am service is held outdoors. Wednesday evenings there are study groups and choir and handbell ringer practices.
