The YMCA of the Coosa Valley is a charitable, nonprofit organization located in Gadsden, Ala. The organization s SilverSneakers is a fitness program specially designed for senior citizens. It provides personalized fitness programs, water exercises, and individual and group swimming lessons. The YMCA of the Coosa Valley s Youth in Government programs develop personal growth and encourage life-long and responsible citizenship. The organization operates summer day camps for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The camps offer classes in swimming, sports, character study, and arts and crafts. Its facilities include a fitness center, indoor pool, gymnasium, basketball court, sauna and steam room.
