Washington Middle School is a part of Albuquerque Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Founded in 1923, Washington Middle School serves more than 550 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science and social studies. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music and physical education. In addition, Washington Middle School provides several elective programs, such as dance, journalism, technology applications, industrial arts, band, orchestra and chorus.
