The United Studios of Self Defense was founded 42 years ago by Professor Nick Cerio. A famed grand master in karate, Cerio's studios have become the forefront of martial arts gymnasiums. Since Cerio's passing,Professor Charles Mattera has assumed control of the company. Mattera is a 9th-degree blackbelt (the only higher ranking is that of grand master.) This location is run byJon Mannos, an 8th-degree black belt (the second highest standard ranking in karate.)
