Traviss Career Center is an educational institution that offers academic programs in the areas of customer assistance technology, architectural drafting, automotive collision repair and refinishing, cosmetology and electricity. The center offers several high school diploma options, as well as conducts evening and online classes. Traviss Career Center operates a bookstore that sells textbooks, workbooks and novelty items. The center also conducts classes in mechanical drafting, masonry, commercial art technology and avionics. Traviss Career Center sponsors various organizations, such as the National Technical Honor Society, Dental Assisting Society and Traviss Ambassadors. The center has a media center and is a part of the Polk County Public School District.
