The Volunteer Way is a faith-based nonprofit that collects six and a half million pounds of food annually for those in need. Led by Chief Executive Officer Lester Cypher, the group runs a food bank and support services for those in need of financial assistance.In addition to its food bank, it offers a brown bag program for low-income, homebound and disabled seniors, a hydroponic farm, and a new shelter in the Moon Lake subdivision.While based in New Port Richey, its services extend far beyond county lines to help people in surrounding counties.
