I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and 7 years of post-doctoral specialized training. I have practiced psychology for the last 18 years. My affiliations include The Delaware Psychological Association, The Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Center, The American Psychoanalytic Association and The International Psychoanalytic Association. My goal is to help people feel better and function better. My specialties are anxiety, depression and self-esteem problems, post Traumatic Disorder, impulse behavior problem, issues around Sex and sexuality, improving relationships, changing unwanted thought and feeling patterns and resolving current problems that arise from childhood experience. Also, I work on reducing stress that may be increasing physical symptoms, senior Issues, grief and loss, dealing with personal illness, caregiver support and LGBT sensitive. I use an eclectic approach with elements from cognitive, behavioral, relational, psychoanalytic and supportive, adapting the treatment to the patient needs. The privacy of my office offers clients the opportunity to get out in the open what is on their minds, to develop an understanding of what is keeping them stuck and to improve the quality of their lives. It is my belief that individuals go through life making the best decisions they can, given the information and feelings they have at the moment. I know for sure that people can change the way they think about themselves, behave more adaptively and have a more positive impact on the world around them. I see it happen every day.
