Formed in 1993, The Environmental Services is one of the departments operated by the government of Sterns County in Minnesota. The department is responsible for providing customer service regarding environmental, land use and environmental health issues. The Environmental Services department is divided into a number of divisions, including Land Use Division, Environmental Service Division, Agriculture and Water Resources Division. It provides Sewage treatment systems, solid waste, lead abatement and food borne illness investigation as well as recreation campgrounds.
