The State College Police Department is a full-service police agency that is responsible for patrolling the community, responding to calls from citizens, and investigating and enforcing criminal and traffic laws. It receives assistance from all other public safety agencies. The State College Police investigates crimes that involve personal and property damages, thefts, narcotic violations and juvenile crimes. The department operates a community relations section that provides programs and services to the general public for children, adults and seniors. It offers lectures in community functions, as well as home security surveys. The State College Police Department, headquartered in State College, Pa., also offers training services.
