The Toho Water Authority, located in Kissimmee, Fla., is the local water provider serving the corporate limits of Kissimmee as well as parts of central and northwest Osceola County, Fla. The organization is governed by a five-member board, which is responsible for approving all operating policies for the authority. It owns and operates more than 10 water and wastewater plants, and has a National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference-certified laboratory for the testing of daily water and wastewater samples. The Toho Water Authority maintains more than 500 miles of water mains, over 465 miles of sewer mains and nearly 85 miles of reclaimed water mains. It serves more than 45,000 water, over 40,000 wastewater and nearly 7,000 reclaimed water customers. The organization has a staff of more than 130 employees.
