Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital specializes in providing medical care for dogs and cats. Its services include radiology, surgery, dentistry, annual exams and emergency care. It also provides daycare and boarding for dogs and cats with large accommodating environments for pets to play.
Paradise Pet Motel is run by Dr. Lester Mandelker, who is also the proprietor of the nearby Community Veterinary Hospital. With credentials like that, you can be confident that your pet is in good hands. Paradise Pet Motel has "free-to-roam" boarding, meaning animals are not caged throughout the day. The dogs even get 24/7 music and/or cable TV!
Pets are separated into groups according to size, and aggressive pets are not allowed to mingle with others. The staff says that aggression is usually not an issue however, as 99 percent of the pets usually get along. Proof of current immunizations is required, and small fees are payable up front. They usually run around $20 per day for dogs under 25 lbs.
Country Oaks has a fully equipped in-house laboratory that provides its staff with immediate results, as well as an on-site pharmacy. Refills can also be replenished via the animal hospital's website and delivered to you within 24 hours. Doctors Leigh Ann Littlejohn and Philip Richmond are strong believers in preventative health care. Other areas of expertise include geriatric care, surgery, post-op pain management, chemotherapy and dental care.
Behavior consultations (60-90 minutes per session) can be scheduled at the Country Oaks office or at a patient's home. During this time, your pet's behavior issues will be assessed and a (re-)training plan coordinated to correct any inappropriate behaviors or actions.
On-site boarding is also available for both cats and dogs. Canine guests are placed in spacious, comfortable accommodations and are exercised outdoors three times a day. An indoor run is also available. Reservations are strongly recommended and required during holidays and summer months.
