Sisters Renee and Toni also have a bakery case full of all-natural dog and cat treats and a collection of books on the subject of holistic pet care. They have food for animals on raw diets as well. Pets are welcome on the premises, provided they are kept on leash.
The full-service veterinarian is housed in a white Cape Cod-style building. It also carries a large line of Science Diet pet foods.
Country Companions Veterinary Services provides compassionate and professional care at its facility on Amity Rd. Its owner, Kim McClure Brinton, D.V.M., is a Bethany native. Having grown up in a rural environment, she was inspired to establish an animal practice that includes farm and other small animals, as well as dogs and cats. Currently staffed by three full-time veterinarians, Country Companions provides health services for a variety of animals, excluding horses.

Prescription and over-the-counter foods are available. Dog training takes place on a weekly basis, and adoption days occur the third Sunday of every month from 11am - 3pm.

The clinic also provides patients with resources regarding animal adoption. While the clinic is housed in a historic home built in 1837, all equipment and tools are state of the art.
Connecticut Veterinary Center provides comprehensive care for household pets. The staff treats dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets and exotic reptiles. This location is a satellite office of the Connecticut Veterinary Center in West Hartford. The center has been operating for more than 40 years.
DJ's Grooming & Pet Supply is located in house-type setting, making it comfortable for your little furry friend. Friendly staff greets you and your pet, preparing him or her for grooming or just a trip to the store for a new outfit or supplies.
