Meet your hosts - Jonna and Reid Kitchen. We have lived in Humboldt County for over 25 years. Reid came up to attend Humboldt State University nearly 30 years ago to get his college degree, fell in love with the Redwood Coast and has lived here ever since. He loves the local surfing and fishing. Jonna attended U.C. Berkeley for a degree in Nutrition and also fell in love with Northern California. She loves the Redwood Coast for the great hiking, yoga studios,gardening, cooking and especially the local food scene. Together we have managed vacation homes for over 10 years expanding our business from Trinidad into nearby McKinleyville and Arcata. Throughout this time, we have maintained our “boutique-style.” We’re passionate about sharing the wonders of our backyard, the Redwood Coast, and we treat every guest and owner with personal care. As we continue to build Trinidad Retreats, our goal is to remain hands-on managers who act as local hosts. Our aim is to deliver high-quality service that allows our guests to find their home away from home on the Redwood Coast. We Believe in Local, In-Person Services Having lived in both Arcata and Trinidad, we know the area well. This helps us cater to our guests’ needs. We love sharing our favorite restaurants, hikes, and local events. Currently residing in Trinidad, puts us in proximity to the homes we manage. When a guest needs our assistance, we’re just minutes away.
