Youjuku USA tutors students in all subjects—but in Japanese, not English. Students range from kindergarten to high school. SAT, TOEFL, and other test preparation tutoring is also available. Students learn either in one-on-one sessions, or in classes of up to six. This learning center is one of three Youjuku USA centers in Southern California; the others are in Torrance and Irvine.
Hana Academy tutors high school and junior high school students in most subjects. Its specialty is test preparation and AP coursework. English, math and science help is available.
Hana Academy recently moved westward a block on Silver Spur. It is now across a patio from the Peninsula Dance Center. Unfortunately, there are a few steps up from the sidewalk that prevent this office from being handicapped accessible. An alternate phone number is 310-987-1001.
