Barr-Nunn Transportation is a privately owned, dry van truckload carrier. Barr-Nunn has a fleet of more than 600 tractors and more than 1,600 trailers. It provides shipping service to manufacturers and users of paper products, plastic and rubber, building materials, appliances, hardware, castings, animal feeds and a host of other products throughout the United States. In 2003, Barr-Nunn opened a terminal in Ohio. The facility contains driver training areas, a driver lounge and showers, and a maintenance facility. Barr-Nunn Transportation uses Electronic Data Interchange and Qualcomm satellites on all its trucks. The firm was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Granger, Iowa.
