Established in 1966, the Tennessee Technology Center at Knoxville provides job training and placement services and is located in Knoxville, Tenn. It offers full-time programs in business system technology, industrial maintenance, medical office information technology, practical nursing, truck driving and welding. The center also offers courses in machine tool technology, medical assistance, collision repair technology, computer and network systems and drafting. In addition, it provides online degrees in the areas of information technology, early childhood education and general studies. The center has a library that provides online search capabilities, reference materials, databases, journals and other research services. The Tennessee Technology Center at Knoxville is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education.
