The mission of Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming.The creation of Wyoming Business Council in 1998 dramatically changed Wyomings approach to economic development. Unlike the states previous economic development efforts, this new organization has more of a corporate structure, incorporates private business practices in order to drive programs and has instituted regional offices throughout the state.The State of Wyoming created Wyoming Business Council to focus public and private efforts to build a strong job creation base in the new economy with manufacturing and technology as core competencies while strengthening the existing business and industry groups under energy, agriculture, tourism and travel.Board of Directors - The Business Council is part of the state government, but its structure resembles a corporation with a CEO and a board of directors.
