The Division of Wildlife is a public agency that coordinates a variety of conservation programs and related services throughout South Dakota. It is responsible for the management and protection of wildlife and fishery resources and associated habitats. The division addresses issues related to weed control, public land use, chronic waste diseases, and wildlife damage management and planning. The division provides environmental assessment, technical support, permit reviewing and project administration services.
