Pete's Gun Room is a small shop with big personality. Owner Pete offers up a wide variety of firearms and is always on hand to help you make your selection. If there is something you want that isn't it stock, the Gun Room can order it for you, and as a result the store has accrued a happy and loyal following since opening its doors back in 2000.
Constructed in 1720 on 170 acres, Pennypacker Mills historic mansion is open to the public for tours or for private events. Activities at this site include nature walks through the gardens, parks and wooded areas. There are also many exhibits to see as well as workshops and special events. There is a large outdoor picnic area as well.
Saddlebrook, the full-service equestrian center, provides 30 acres of access and certified instructors who teach both children and adults. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. The center is one of the largest of its kind in Montgomery County. Its comprehensive services include: indoor riding ring (80' x 200'); a second floor climate controlled viewing lounge; two outdoor arenas (100' x 300'); a wash stall with hot and cold water; easy access to the Perkiomen Trail; $500-per-month indoor boarding (12 x 12 stalls with mats, daily turnout, feed twice a day, free choice of hay in fields); private turnout for an extra cost; pony parties (kids' birthdays); the Saddles to Spurs Equestrian Shop; a four-hour "Ranch Time" program; and a summer camp.
