Located on the northern banks of the Mystic River, Riverside Yacht Club provides moorings for its members and social activities, but is also active in the community, including efforts to clean up the river.

Medford Youth Hockey offers hockey and ice skating programs for boys and girls ages four to eighteen. Programs are held from October through March, and are held at the city-managed LoConte Rink, which is located within the Hormel Stadium Complex (off Route 16). Hockey programs include mites (ages 6-8), squirts (9-10), peewee (11-12), bantams (13-14) and midgets (high school). Figure skating programs are for skaters working in all areas of the sport, including basic 1-4 and basic 5-8. CrossFit H2O is a small-group, personal-training program that aims to help clients achieve health and weight-loss goals. It offers a range of different programs including nutrition education, heavy bag lifting, weights, tae kwon do and movement exercises. Programs are designed to increase endurance, weight loss and flexibility. CrossFit H2O welcomes clients of all fitness experience levels.
Work Out World, also known as WOW, is located in the sprawling basement of the huge 200 Boston Avenue office complex. Inside a huge subterranean space, WOW offers a dizzying array of cardio machines lined up three-rows deep for 50 yards. It also has a full-size aerobics studio, a cable machine area and an expansive free weight room. Steam rooms, full showers and locker rooms are available as well. Additionally, WOW employees teach a variety of classes designed to get your heart rate up, ranging from old-school kettle ball training to kickboxing and spinning classes.
