South Mission Viejo Little League was established in 1968. The competitive boy's baseball league is a nonprofit organization ran by volunteers and parents. The League has a volunteer board of directors and is funded through corporate and private donations. The league offers boys ages 5 through 16 the chance to play both a fall and spring season. The league hosts tournaments with teams from different cities during the summers, with club teams for each division. The teams play at Olympiad park, where there are four state-of-the-art fields complete with covered dugouts and stadium bleachers. The park also has a snack bar that is open during game times. Players are required to do a few hours of volunteer work in the stand each season.
Mission Viejo Girls Softball League was established in 1990. The competitive fast pitch softball league is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and parents. The league has a volunteer board of directors and is funded through corporate and private donations. The league offers girls ages 5 to 18 the chance to play both a fall and spring season. The league hosts tournaments with teams from different cities during the summers. MVGS also has travel ball teams for each division. The teams play at 10 different fields throughout the city. Each player is required to do two hours of snack bar time per season at any of the fields.
Mission Viejo Taekwondo is located on the corner of La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway. It is a member of the American Taekwondo Association and offers lessons for all ages and all skill levels. The Mission Viejo Country Club was established in 1967 in a beautiful valley surrounded by green hills. Since its initial construction, it has undergone multiple renovations. The most recent was a $19 million endeavor that restored the club to its proper grandeur.
