Ice Ventures is a leading private sector developer and operator of recreational ice sports and entertainment facilities under the operating identity of "The Ice House". Our operating philosophy is to provide our customers with a high quality recreational or entertainment experience through the development of quality, banded programs, skate schools, recreational leagues and public skating sessions. Our competitive edge results from a winning combination of popular programming, including development, organization and management of early childhood and youth skating and hockey programs, figure skating, public skating and hockey leagues. Two of our key programming initiatives are our Skate Schools ("Mice on Ice" for pre-schoolers; "Rink Rats" for novice skaters; "Learn-to-Play" for youth and adults who want to learn basic ice hockey skills); Cutting Edge hockey camps (featuring instructors from North American and European professional leagues); and safe Adult Hockey Leagues. These programs are proprietary and can be replicated in new or acquired facilities. The Company has become a recognized specialist in the design, development and installation of ice rink infrastructure and equipment. This development extends to establishment of operating policies and procedures and the creation of business strategies and plans for the profitable operation of an ice rink based enterprise. This aspect of our corporate profile has evolved to the point that a division, Ice Venture Partners, has been created to consult and partner with the industry on separate ice-based and recreation projects.
