Portsmouth Abbey School is a coeducational boarding and day school that offers education to students in grades nine through 12. Founded in 1926, the school 500-acre campus is located in Portsmouth, R.I. Portsmouth Abbey School offers a traditional classical curriculum to more than 350 students. The school offers a wide range of visual and performing arts. It has a state-of-the-art fine arts center, an art gallery and an orchestra chamber. The school offers a drama program, an annual musical program and private music lessons. Portsmouth Abbey School provides more than 35 sport teams competing in over 20 sports. It has an 18-hole Scottish links-style golf course, squash courts, a fitness center, tennis courts, indoor ice hockey rink, gymnasiums and outdoor playing fields.
