Blue Valley Sod Inc. has been growing and shipping sod throughout the United States and Midwest since 1973. The company has more than 1,500 acres of growing capacity on sod farms in Blue Earth, Faribault and Aitkin counties in Minnesota. In addition, it has several varieties of turf in peat and mineral sod. Blue Valley Sod Inc. supplied the turf for the fairways at the Tom Watson National Golf Club course in Kansas City, Mo. With over 30 separate fields, it has the capability to custom grow turf for customers specific variety needs. The company can pull trucks from its own fleet for emergency deliveries through its parent company, Weerts Company.
