Established in 1989, Capital High School serves more than 1,200 students in grades nine through 12. The school provides advanced placement courses in various subjects, including computer science, calculus, physics, literature English language, world history, art and Spanish. The science classes offered by the school are chemistry, anatomy, biology and meteorology. Capital High School also provides classes in engineering, AutoCAD, business, fine arts and life management skills. The school has various clubs that include key, chess, animal care and jazz band. Additionally, it has an onsite day care facility and distance learning center for students. Capital High School has a media center library offering various books and journals. The schools sport activities include football, hockey, baseball and golf. The school is located in Charleston, W.Va.
