Wood River Rural High School serves more than 300 students in grades 6 through 12. It is a part of the Wood River Rural K-12 School System, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Wood River Rural High School operates various student organizations, such as the National Honor Society, a student council, close up team and spirit squad. It supports a variety of extracurricular programs in band, choir and drama. The school conducts foreign language programs in Spanish. Located in Wood River, Neb., Wood River Rural High School also supports various sports activities, including football, volleyball, golf, cross country, basketball, wrestling, and track and field.
