Girls and Boys Town High School is located in Boys Town, Neb. Its educational system provides academic opportunities, as well as job and independent living skills. In addition to the core curriculum, it offers four basic career courses in keyboarding and typing, computer literacy, employability skills and home maintenance. It offers vocational courses in business education, human services, health care, construction, computers and automotive services. It also has a reading center that conducts applied research on literacy programs at Girls and Boys Town schools. It offers advanced placement courses and employment training courses. In addition, it offers an extensive 4-H training program in farm field operations, including livestock and agricultural training and greenhouse management.
