Dartmouth High School is a public school that provides academic education and higher learning opportunities to students in grades nine through 12. The school, located in Dartmouth, Mass., was established in 1903 and enrolls more than 1,300 students. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign languages with a choice in French, Spanish and Portuguese. The high school also provides courses in business and information technology that include business administration, marketing, accounting, Web design, computer programming, and computer hardware and software courses. Dartmouth High School additionally provides advanced-placement and honors courses in calculus, chemistry, physiology, biology and physics. The school has a library and media center that provides online databases, fiction and nonfiction books, audiovisual aids and access to the Internet. Dartmouth High School also offers academic guidance, the National Honor Society program and organizes various extracurricular activities, such as music and drama. It also provides various sports activities, such as football, soccer, golf, volleyball, ice hockey, baseball, basketball and tennis.
