South El Monte High School offers education to students in grades nine through 12. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, business management and industrial technology. South El Monte High School operates a library and media center that offers various resources, such as books, magazines and journals. The school also provides classes in various foreign languages. Additionally, it offers a range of sports activities that include softball, golf, tennis, football, cross country, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and track and field. The school is a part of the El Monte Union School District. In addition, South El Monte High School provides personal counseling and career guidance services and is located in South El Monte, Calif.
