The Mountain View Campus of Waldorf School of the Peninsula is home to sixth through twelfth graders. The curriculum includes arithmetic, history, geography, science and literature. Mountain View Los Altos High School District (MVLA UHSD) Office coordinates the education of students at Alta Vista High School, Los Altos High School, Mountain View High School and the local Adult Education program.
The administration, teachers and staff at MVLA UHSD believe in five core values -- quality, empowerment, teamwork, a personalized caring environment and the continuous improvement -- as necessary for the development of the students.
In addition, the Business Services division manages the maintenance, transportation, operation, contract, accounts payable/receivable, developer fees, insurance, facility usage and payroll/benefits for MVLA UHSD.
Alta Vista High School, an alternative high school environment part of the Mountain View Los Altos High School District, enrolls about 170 students between the 9th and 12th grade. Adjacent to Mountain View High School, Alta Vista is a smaller school environment with friendly and dedicated teachers where students have an opportunity to excel academically and socially.
