Effective December 28th, 2007 Y/C Plus will cease all manufacturing operations. In one regard it is a sad day but then it has been a wonderful ride for the last 17+ years. The video business as a whole has changed dramatically and with HDTV just around the corner the devices used in the past will be rendered useless. The analog HDTV chip set provided by my friend Yves Faroudja was the cornerstone of the original YCP-100 product. It was our goal from the start to offer superior products that where a real value to our customers.Some of the remaining Y/C Plus products will be available on a limited basis as they sell out from Smith Audio Visual, 785-235-3481, [email protected]. As a result, I am putting more effort into Smith Audio Visual which by the way was named the 2007 Existing Small Business of the Year by the Kansas Small Business Development Center last week. This is a huge award and highlights my efforts to trek into the unchartered waters of System Integration. I have also been asked to update my original Boardroom 101 for the NSCA education department. It is the most requested NSCA lunch and learn presentation for Architects and is AIA/CES certified. I will continue to be active in our industry and look forward to meeting with you in the future.
