Good Beginnings offers an age-appropriate curriculum for children ages 2 1/2 through 12. The offerings include a preschool program, extended day, full-day kindergarten and supervised after school care. The center also features field trips, a summer camp program and dance and music classes.

The Fairfax County Public Schools Alternative School Programs is a division of the Teen Alternative Program at Northwest Mental Health Center. Four teachers provide instruction for 20 students experiencing serious social-emotional difficulties that interfere with their participation in the regular school program. Admission is achieved through referral to the Mental Health Director of the Teen Alternative Program of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.
Edlin is a private school for gifted children in grades K-8.
