Established in 1917, Cocke County High School offers a range of educational services to more than 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12. The school provides classes in English, social studies, physics, chemistry, geology and astronomy. It also conducts sessions in French, Spanish, drama and art. The school offers vocational courses in agricultural science, auto mechanics, building trades, health occupations and electrical studies. Cocke County High School operates a band and chorus. It maintains a library that provides a variety of reading and research materials. The school offers special education programs for students with learning disabilities. Cocke County High School provides guidance counseling services. The school supports Beta, key and chess clubs. It is a part of the Cocke County School System. The school additionally maintains a music department and a student council that involves students in government-oriented activities.
