Built 23 years ago, Crystal Lake was Lakeville's fourth elementary school. Situated along Ipava Avenue and County Road 46, the school is near the border of Lakeville and Burnsville, near Crystal Lake. The schools is led by Principal William Mack and hosts 443 students in grades K - 5. Some Burnsville students attend the school.
The Lakeville Area Learning Center is home to Lakeville's non-traditional students and adult education programs.
Since 1998, the center has occupied what was once All Saints Catholic School in downtown Lakeville. The School district leases the building, which was originally built in 1950. Cliff Skagen is principal.
John F. Kennedy Elementary School was built in 1964 and the name was selected by the students in honor of the recently assassinated President.
The school has only had four principals since it opened, and is today led by Mary Jo Hanson. The school is home to 611 students in grades K-5.
JFK is one of the oldest schools in Lakeville and is located just south of downtown along Holyoke Ave. and is immediately adjacent to McGuire Middle School.
Lakeville North High School is one of the community's two high schools. Located just two miles west of downtown Lakeville on Ipava Avenue, North opened in 1993 to 660 students. Today, Lakeville North, which is home to the Panthers, hosts 1,802 students in grades 9-12. Before Lakeville South High School opened in 2005, North was known simply as Lakeville High School and housed all of the district's grade 9-12 students.
The school is led by Principal Marne Berkvam and in 2009 was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Prior to North, Lakeville's high school was in the building that is now Kenwood Trial Middle School.
All Saints Catholic School was founded in 1955. It was originally located next to the church in downtown Lakeville. The current church was built in 1997, and the education building was completed in 2000. All Saints Catholic School is fully accredited with the Minnesota Non-public School Accrediting Association. It follows the Lakeville School District calendar and hosts kindergarten through 8th grade.
When Lake Marion Elementary School opened in 1990 at the corner of Kenwood Trail and Dodd Boulevard, it was nearly in the middle of nowhere. Downtown Lakeville was more than a mile to the southeast and the development adjacent to the school, including Ames Ice Arena, Lakeville North High School and the commercial areas were not yet built.
Today, the school is surrounded by development and is home to 596 students in grades K - 5 and Principal John Braun has been the school's leader since it opened.
All Saints Catholic Church offers regular weekend mass on Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 7:30am, 9am, 11am and 5:30pm. Faith Formation Programs are offered for adults and children of all ages.
Orchard Lake Elementary School was originally known as the "brick school," which first opened in 1905. The school was demolished and the current building was erected in 1969. The site is one of the oldest school sites in the district. Today, the school, located Klamath Trail, west of Interstate 35, is home to 380 students in grades K-5 and is led by Principal Karen Roos.
Eastview Elementary School opened in 1996 and is one of four schools along Ipava Avenue. Eastview is located in the northern part of town, just north of Century Middle School. It was the last school in a series of schools to be built during a rapid growth period from 1988-1996, when five schools were built.
The school was named Eastview because when you're looking from the school's large media center windows, you're facing east.
The school, led by Principal Richard Oscarson, is home to 627 students in grades K-5.
