The administrative building for the Stoughton Public Schools is located on Pearl Street and is connected to Stoughton High School in a separate wing near the school's auditorium.  The disctrict includes five elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, an early childhood center, as well as adult eductation programs.  The current Superintendent of Schools is Dr. Marguerite Rizzi.

ODonnell Middle School, located in Grandview, Mo., offers a wide range of programs that include art, music, science, technology, computer and band to students in grade nine through 12. The school s curriculum also includes programs in social science, business, mathematics and science. It athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, softball, basketball, soccer and wrestling. Its clubs include fishing, literary magazine, writing fair and yearbook. It provides classes in advanced curricular topics services to the students. ODonnell Middle School additionally provides various classes in computer, technology and physical education. Its media center offers a wide collection of books, magazines and journals. The school s staff comprises academic coaches, counselors, media specialists, school nutrition manager and speech therapists.

Home of the Sharks, South Elementary School is located off Ash Street and is one of five public elementary schools in town. The current principal is Maureen Mulvey.  

With 264 students and 14 classrooms ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade, South School is the smallest of the five elementary schools in terms of student population. The school grounds also include playing fields, a playground and two blacktop playing areas.

Britleys Montessori is a children's private school located at the Kindred Hospital on Sumner Street in Stoughton.  The school helps children acheive their fullest potential and has a diverse and rewarding curriculum to challenge students to reach for their best.  School is in session from September to June and ages 3 through 6 are accepted.  Classes are from 9am to 3am Monday through Friday, with before-school care available from 7am to 9am and after-school care from 3pm to 6pm.

The Dawe Elementary School is located off Pine Street, but the entrance for the school's one-way access road is off Lowe Avenue. The Dawe School is one of five public elementary schools in Stoughton, and its current principal is David Barner.  

The school serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade, with class sizes ranging from 17 to 24 students. The school also houses two Therapeutic Learning Center classrooms (TLC) and two Primary Adjustment Class classrooms (PAC). The Academy of Gymnastics has been offering gymnastics and personal fitness training to young people since 1976. It believes that gymnastics is an excellent way to build self-confidence, learn perseverance and acquire balanced health. It has classes for pre-schoolers to teens. It offers recreational classes as well as a team program.

The Helen H. Hansen Elementary School is located on the corner of Central and West streets, at the foot of Chemung Hill. Home of the Hansen Hawks, Hansen is one of five public elementary schools in Stoughton. The principal is Faye Polillio. There is a playing field and a playground behind the school. West Elementary School, located on Central Street near the District Court House, is one of five elementary schools in Stoughton. The principal is Brendan Dearborn. 

The School has a diverse student population that hails from eighteen different countries, and more than 100 students whose second language is English. There are nineteen classroom teachers who are aided by a support staff of more than twenty.

The West School Athletic Complex is behind the School; it includes softball, baseball and open fields, a playground and a walking track.

Rev. Laurie Rofinot, Priest-in-Charge

All are welcome to join Trinity Episcopal Parish for its worship services, celebrations, to study and to serve the community. This is an Anglo-Catholic church and holy communion is offered weekly at their 8am and 9:30am mass times.
