The MGH Institute of Health Professions is an interdisciplinary graduate school with foundation and postprofessional programs in clinical investigation, communication sciences and disorders, medical imaging, nursing, physical therapy and speech and language pathology. It is located in Boston, and is as independent affiliate of the Massachusetts General Hospital. It is also accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, and is a member of the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. Its curriculum provides clinical and academic learning for more than 700 full- and part-time students, who are enrolled on-site and online as well. Founded in 1973, Bunker Hill Community College, also known as BHCC, enrolls more than 8,900 students in day, evening, weekend, Web-based and distance learning courses. The college offers over 65 associate degree and certificate programs in the fields of business, foreign language, music, psychology, sociology, math, theater, accounting, management and computer science. In addition, it offers courses in the areas of biology, medical radiography, criminal justice, and culinary and fine arts. Bunker Hill Community College administers the English as a Second Language program. The college has art, hospitality and business clubs, as well as provides membership opportunities in the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society. Bunker Hill Community College also organizes cultural and sports events. It additionally operates the Boston Welcome Back Center, which specializes in individualized case management solutions.
