The Colo-Nesco Community School District was formed from the Colo School District, Zearing and McCallsburg District and NESCO (North East Story County). The district governs various elementary, middle and high schools. It offers more than 80 academic classes and over 20 extra curricular activities and programs. The Colo-Nesco Community School District has been serving nearly 500 students of Iowa for more than 25 years. It is a school system that educates students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district s schools have libraries that offer books, magazines, reference materials, and online search engines and databases. The Colo-Nesco Community School District s schools curricula include art, business, language arts, music, health education, math, media, reading, science and social studies. With more than 70 staff members, the district also organizes various talented and gifted programs.
