Moody Theological Seminary and Graduate school (formerly Michigan Theological Seminary) is located within Plymouth. The Michigan-based campus employs seven resident and 14 adjunct faculty members. The staff at the middle school has implemented a very creative schedule that allows for 53 new classes for students to take without costing the district any additional money. Students now have more physical education or band time, depending on their choices.

More than 830 students attend Duncan Elementary School. Duncan educates children from preschool through sixth grade. The 28th elementary school in the district opened in 2002. It's named after Richard J. Duncan, an area businessman and community supporter. As one of eight elementary schools in the Birmingham Public School District, Harlan Elementary is located off N. Adams Rd. in Bloomfield Hills and serves one-eighth of the 3,685 elementary-age students in the district.
