The University of Illinois Extension offers non-credit educational programs in agriculture and natural resources, community and economic development and family and consumer sciences. Programs include the 4-H and Cloverbuds youth programs, nutrition and gardening information and training for child care providers. Plenty of volunteer opportunities are available, from master gardeners answering questions at local farmers markets to area residents collecting and distributing data on local rainfall.
Smart Start Pre-K is an educational school with Christian values. The school offers a literature-based curriculum and works to prepare children for kindergarten through a curriculum which includes social studies, math, arts, physical education, science, language and more. Daily activities include small group work, story time, indoor and outdoor play, singing and more.
Yorkville's Excel Driving School offers classes on safe and courteous driving through education and experience for youth and adults. Complete courses include classroom instruction, driving time and in-car driving observation, but behind-the-wheel only classes are also offered to adults. Excel's Yorkville location is only open during scheduled classes. The main office is in Naperville, Illinois.
The Kendall County Special Education Cooperative is a support services group for special needs children and their families. KCSEC provides services to six school districts within Kendall county.
Working in cooperation with parents, KCSEC staff ensures that academic and life skills resources are made available to special needs students and young adults.

Using hands-on instruction in the classroom and on the range, the Firearms Safety Academy and its instructors are committed to helping students safely and proficiently use handguns while aiming to teach marksmanship. We Grow Kids Childcare is a traditional daycare facility offering inclusive care for children six weeks to 12 years old. The center offers full and part-time care, inclusive care for specials needs children and before and after-school care. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served.
Parkview Christian Academy offers educational classes from preschool to tenth grade. Educational programs and educational curriculum are augmented with the religious teachings. The academy seeks to maintain smaller student-to-teacher ratios to provide more individualized attention. The academy expects to receive accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International by 2013.
Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 headquarters house the superintendent's and other top administrators' offices, as well as the school board meeting room. The district has nine schools, and serves 85 square miles that include all or part of Yorkville, Montgomery, Plano, Oswego and Bristol. The Board of Education is comprised of seven elected, unpaid community members.
The Yorkville location of the Two Rivers Head Start Agency provides preschool and other support services for low-income families with children ages 3 to 5 who are not eligible for kindergarten. Head Start is a free, half-day preschool program, while KEYS is a year-round, full-day program for children whose parents are working or attending school. KEYS fees are minimal and based on a sliding income scale.

Yorkville High School provides a rich curriculum for its students from grades 10 through 12. It provides a graduation plan for students to go on to a four year college. There are honors and advanced placement courses for those students who are extremely proficient in their academic studies. There is also an extensive vocation program for students with technical skills.
There are also many extracurricular activities available for the students.
Cross Lutheran combines church and school to provide Christian education for pre-school through the eighth grade. The school offers education in religion, reading, math, science, computers, English, Spanish, social studies, art, music and physical education. The church offers Sunday School for children as well as ministries for adults and seniors. Cross is also involved in missions and provides support groups.
