The Northwest Wyoming Board of Cooperative Educational Services, also known as NWBOCES, serves more than 15 school districts in Fremont, Hot Springs, Park, Washakie, Big Horn and Converse counties in Wyoming. Founded in 1970, the board provides cooperative services to educational and human services agencies. It operates the Big Horn Basin Childrens Center, which offers residential educational placement solutions for youths between the ages of 6 and 14. The Northwest Wyoming Board of Cooperative Educational Services center also administers transitional programs, as well as provides therapeutic, life skills development and case management solutions. The board offers training and consulting services. It is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

Hot Springs County High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 150 students. Its academic curriculum includes English, social studies, math, science, language arts, Spanish, and health and physical education. The school also organizes a variety of athletic activities that includes wrestling, football, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, cross-country, golf, and track and field.
