Highways and Bridges is a department under city hall matters but is located on Myrtle Street. The area is generally not open to the public due to the fact that it is a large lot where work trucks and machinery are stored. However, there is a small office building and a telephone line available should you desire to contact someone from this department. They are responsible for maintaining Shelton's infrastructure, which includes work such as road paving, snow and ice removal in winter, street sweeping and garbage/recycling collection.
