Vitale's is currently run by the adult children of the owners, who retired after running the business for 25 years. The children continue the attention to detail that marked their parents reign, and have added new touches, such as the gluten-free menu items and an outdoor patio. As much attention has been given to the attractive exterior plantings and parking lot as to the menu of this venerable Grosse Ile institution.
