Santucci’s Original Square Pizza finds its roots in South Philadelphia. Founded by the late Joseph and Philomena Santucci, the restaurant opened its door in 1959. During that year the Santucci family moved from South Philly to the Northeast and opened the first Santucci’s Original Square Pizza on “O” Street in Juniata Park. Joe and Phil Santucci had a dream to create a strong family business in the hopes of leaving a lasting legacy for their children and grandchildren. That dream became a reality when their son, Frank took over the business and continued the tradition of delicious square pizza for nearly 40 years. Within the last 40 years, Frank, with the assistance of his three children has expanded his parents business to the Italian Market, North Broad, Roxborough and soon Vintner, New Jersey. The Santucci family welcomes everyone to enjoy their family’s tradition and most of all delicious square pizza!

Husband and wife team and long-time Philadelphia residents, Chris and Caitlin Rorer, have decided to take the plunge and open their own creative food concept at 17th and Lombard St. just outside of the Rittenhouse Square section of Center City. The Rorer’s didn’t want their restaurant to look like anything else in Philly and took the time to completely renovate the space and use some of the existing aesthetics to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience for every guest. With strong family values and a desire to bring an eclectic menu specializing in farm fresh ingredients and unique takes on old favorites, Chris and Caitlin want everyone that walks through their doors to enjoy a great meal and a good time. Poised to be a cornerstone of the neighborhood for years to come, the message here is simple: we are keen on food, keen on our neighbors, and keen on Philadelphia!

In the completely renovated space located on Sansom Street between 15th and 16th streets, Harp & Crown brings together old-world touches of charm and luxury with modern sensibility and functionality. Its glass-façade, 24-foot ceilings, and four chandeliers on the ground floor are glamorous pieces balanced with funky vintage wallpaper and leather club chairs, millwork and natural tones throughout the space. The result is a comfortably refined space to match Executive Chef Armando Jimenezs approach to cooking, which highlights seasonal ingredients and global cuisines. Guests may enjoy the delicate yet complex flavors of his new-American dishes amongst the space including a 32-seat bar. Delving further into the unused space within the building itself, Harp & Crown features a cocktail bar, lounge, and two-lane bowling alley beneath the main room at Elbow Lane, serving up the full menu.
